Chess makes you smart.
WE make it fun.
WeChess is the Warren Elliott Chess Academy: chess classes, school programmes, camps and tournament coaching across Jamaica. Linking the world through chess.

FM Warren Elliott
Warren has coached Jamaican chess players for more than a decade: seven National High School champion teams (from Glenmuir High in 2013 to Wolmer's Boys in 2023 and 2025), dozens of national age-group champions, and young players who went on to win CARIFTA, CAC and FIDE titles.
He was on the national coaching team in 2015, when Jamaica became the first English-speaking country to win the CAC Youth Festival, and in 2026 he took the first Jamaican school team to the World School Team Championships.
“When we learn with pleasure, we never forget!”
From one board to 20+ schools
WeChess started with a simple idea: chess makes children smart, and the best way to learn it is to have fun. Today the academy runs classes in over 20 schools across Jamaica, a Saturday Club, online classes and holiday camps.
In 2021 WeChess partnered with the Jamaica Chess Federation, Grace Foods and Chess Unlimited to host the National Age Group Championships online for the first time. In 2025, five WeChess players became national age-group champions in a single season.
